New build on a huge block for a family of entertainers. The  free flowing large single story house by renowned architect Steve Koolloos, was a hybrid of brick and timber. The bold design took visual clues from surrounding areas  saw-tooth industrial roofs and brick bungalows.

The original weatherboard workers quarters at our property Lane’s End was relocated by crane into the adjacent paddock before we added a lightweight timber and glass services pod for the kitchen and bathroom. The rear living/dining space was our first straw-bale job on the South Coast- a chance to demonstrate the eco & acoustic qualities of this building technique. This cottage was an exercise in upcycling and eco building- a chance to show off just how good these techniques can look and feel.
