New build on a huge block for a family of entertainers. The free flowing large single story house by renowned architect Steve Koolloos, was a hybrid of brick and timber. The bold design took visual clues from surrounding areas saw-tooth industrial roofs and brick bungalows.
We woke to the sunny faces of Jacques and Joe and their team, every weekday morning for almost 18 months as we built our home from scratch. The J2 team were great, we trusted them to look after our best interests and that’s the highest praise an owner can give their builder. They were straight up and honest, they had a really great team of their own staff and good subbies, they kept a pretty complicated job on track and (almost) on budget. Their attention to detail was tops, their flexibility admirable and we are suitably thrilled with the result. That the home won the J2 team an MBA Award is testament to their efforts and expertise.
